I enjoyed the Tale of Despereaux very much. My favorite character is Despereaux. He is so brave and different from every other mouse. I like that the book was about two very different rodents who were also very different from their own kind. My favorite part was about how Mig could never hear anyone and they had to yell for her to hear. It was funny how everyone was yelling. It was weird that she could hear Roscuro. I liked the Tale of Despereaux very much.

I also enjoyed the book very much. It was interesting watching how each persons or rodents actions affected everyone elses lives in some way. I think we forget how we are all dependent on each other and our actions do have consequences, some of which we don't even know about.
It was also nice to see how Despereaux and Princess Pea were able to forgive the people or rodents that had wronged them. I loved Princess Pea. She was pretty and seemed to make everyone smile. But she was more than that. She had empathy, kindness and was able to accepte a mouse for a friend. That is pretty open minded. I also enjoyed the character of Roscuro. He was different from the other rats just like Despereaux was from the other mice. They both went about dealing with their difficulties in such different ways. I felt sorry for Roscuro. I think it was harder for him to deal with his life.
I would recommend this book very much.
